Your journey begins as we depart the Red City and climb the winding roads of the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2,260m), offering sweeping views and photo stops. As we descend, you’ll witness the landscape transform—verdant valleys give way to arid plains and hidden villages.
We’ll stop to explore the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its stunning architecture and use in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. From there, we continue through Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” and travel into the picturesque Dades Valley, where you’ll enjoy a traditional dinner and spend the night in a charming guesthouse surrounded by dramatic rock formations.
After breakfast, the adventure continues to the breathtaking Todra Gorges, Morocco’s most famous canyon, carved deep into red limestone by the Todra River. Then, we journey through a variety of desert landscapes, scattered with palm groves and Berber villages, until we reach the edge of the Sahara Desert at Merzouga.
Here, your camel awaits. Begin a camel trek across the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes, glowing in the late afternoon light. Reach your desert camp just in time for sunset, where you’ll be welcomed with mint tea and Berber hospitality. Enjoy a traditional dinner, sit around a fire under a sky full of stars, and experience live drumming and desert music before sleeping in a private tent or under the open sky.
Rise early for a soul-stirring sunrise over the dunes, then ride your camel back to the village. After breakfast and a refreshing shower, begin your return journey to Marrakech, traveling through the vast Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest river oasis dotted with palm trees and ancient kasbahs.
